We love highlighting our amazing community members during our broadcasts on We Love the Eighties Radio! This forum is your direct line to the DJ booth. While we love reading your stories, we have a specific way we handle our on air shoutouts to keep our station online and legal.
How It Works (Please Read)Due to internet radio licensing and DMCA compliance regulations, we operate as a non interactive station and cannot accept direct, on demand song requests.
However, we love doing the next best thing: Listener Shoutouts!
Tell us your story, share your favorite 80s tracks, and the DJ will manually select stories to feature on air. When your post is selected, we will bridge your shoutout directly into the perfect 80s track on the live stream!
How to Post Your ShoutoutTo give the DJ the best material for the microphone, please start a new topic in this forum and use this quick template:
- Your Name / Forum Handle: (What should the DJ call you on air?)
- Your Location: (City, State, or Country)
- Your Favorite 80s Artists/Tracks: (Give us a few bands or songs you are loving right now)
- Your 80s Memory: (Share a quick, fun story! A concert you went to, buying a cassette tape, an old arcade game, or an 80s movie you love)
- Show or not: Choose if you want your shoutout on a specific show or not.
How Do I Know If I'm Featured?Keep an eye on your forum post! If the DJ selects your story to be featured on the stream, we will reply to your thread letting you know which day or show to tune into.
